"The quality is exceptional. These look like high-end designer pieces you'd find in a luxury hotel. Installation was straightforward for our electrician."

Why wall sconces in a hallway?

A hallway usually has one ceiling light and long walls with no wiring. Wall sconces put light at eye level along the walk, where a ceiling fixture leaves shadows.

Battery or hardwired?

Battery for finished walls you are not opening: no electrician, one or two screws. Hardwired (120V, 700 lumens) when the hallway is being renovated.

How bright should hallway lights be?

Low: a dimmed glow is enough to walk by. Every Mistiva sconce dims and switches between warm 3000K, neutral 4000K and cool 6000K. The auto-off timer (15, 30 or 60 minutes) saves the battery.

How many sconces?

Pairs read best: either side of a piece of art, a mirror or a doorway.

One customer wrote that a dark corridor they had ignored for years became "the warmest part of our home."

Frequently asked

What lighting is best for a hallway with no wiring?

Battery wall sconces: they mount with one or two screws in about 15 minutes and run up to 10 days on one 5-hour USB-C charge.

Can hallway sconces stay plugged in?

Yes, when an outlet is close: the 10-foot (3 m) USB-C cable runs the sconce from the outlet and keeps the battery charged.

Can hallway lights turn off on their own?

Yes. The remote's auto-off timer switches them off after 15, 30 or 60 minutes.

Do battery hallway sconces need an electrician?

No. Nothing is wired into the wall; the bracket takes one or two screws.
