Battery, plug-in or hardwired by the bed?
Battery when there is no wiring behind the bed: one or two screws, about 15 minutes. Plugged in when an outlet is close: the 10-foot (3 m) USB-C cable keeps the battery charged. Hardwired when the wall is open for a renovation: 120V and 700 lumens, enough to read by.

Which light color suits a bedroom?
Warm 3000K for evenings; neutral 4000K and cool 6000K for getting ready. AMBIO switches between all three from the remote, and every tone dims.
Can a sconce work as a reading light?
Hardwired AMBIO and Dream give 700 lumens, about a 60W bulb, enough to read by. The battery models give a softer ambient glow for winding down.
What about the timer?
The remote's auto-off switches the sconce off after 15, 30 or 60 minutes.
