So we narrowed it ourselves, every ring and sconce and finish that fails in a year, already pulled. What's left is three pieces that earn the room. The only question is which one, never whether.

Designed by someone who actually has to live with it.
Jack never came from the lighting world. He came from a farm in Ohio, and a habit of walking into things he didn't know how to do and figuring them out. He sold $1.2 billion in mortgage insurance in a year, one person, one state. He took over a company bleeding $15 million a year and brought it back to profitability in one year. He built a healthcare-software business and sold it. None of it was about light. Then he spent four years sailing the world's oceans, and the best light he ever saw was a sunset no room could hold. That is what he came back to Miami to build.
