Is Mistiva just Haus of Interiors with a new name?

No. The name is the last thing that changed, not the first.

Jack Yeager bought the business. He came in to run it himself, and what he found was a catalogue far too long to stand behind — pieces sourced from too many places, at too many standards. So the work started there, with subtraction.

What actually changed?

Three things, in this order.

The catalogue. Most of it went. What's left is a short list where every piece has been tested and every piece is one we'd hang in our own house. That's the whole reason the range looks small — it was made small on purpose, by removal.

The studio. There wasn't one before. Mistiva now designs its pieces from Midtown Miami, and the showroom is a real room you can walk into and see the light on. Photographs of lighting are close to useless; the whole point of the space is that you don't have to trust a photograph.

The name. Once the first two were true, the old one didn't describe the company any more.

Why does the catalogue keep coming up?

Because it's the part people notice and misread. A short list looks like a limitation until you know it's the result of cutting, not the result of starting small.

I bought from Haus of Interiors. Who do I talk to?

Call the studio at 305.897.2209. Jack usually picks up, and the honest answer is that it depends on what you have and when you bought it — but it's a conversation with a person, not a form.

Will I still find the old name online?

For a while, yes. Search engines and forums take time to catch up, and there's a trail of the old business out there. Anything published under Mistiva is ours.
